A true lady never guards her door.

Her energy is the guard. 

Imagine someone wanting to leave your home but you persist in holding them hostage. 

How unladylike!

Have some decorum. Hold the door open and, dare I say, kiss them as they go?

Because how sweet is your fruit if it spoils at the sight of an exit? A true lady is sure her farewell is just as graceful as her welcome. 

Her emotions simply don’t carry enough power to convince her to betray herself or torch any part of her world. 

A true lady never places the burden of forever onto anything or anyone.

What a horrid plan!

Because she too knows that for any reason she finds just, she will also find an exit. 

& how pesky would it be for someone to be at the door, making her say goodbye more than once? 

And don’t you dare mark a boomerang with scorn.. as it will only find its way back to your doorstep. A true lady knows that is far too risky for a woman carrying all of heaven on her back. 

So don’t guard the entrance. Don’t guard the exit. Don’t guard, period! You are not a pit bull. YOU are a lady. Divine, if you will. & you are your finest self when you are just…being. 

Whatever it is, whoever it is, let it go.
